Alamo Group announced it has completed its acquisition of Petersen Industries, finalizing a deal the company previously announced when it signed a purchase agreement on December 10, 2025. Alamo Group is a global manufacturer of industrial and vegetation management equipment, and Petersen Industries produces specialized truck-mounted grapple loader equipment used by municipal and industrial customers.
The company positioned the transaction as a strategic addition that strengthens its offering in infrastructure maintenance equipment, particularly in categories tied to material handling and vegetation management. Alamo Group said Petersen serves customers that overlap with Alamo’s broader end markets, including public-sector and industrial buyers, and expects to build on Petersen’s existing position through customer focus and continued product development.
Alamo Group also indicated it plans to expand Petersen’s sales reach by leveraging Alamo’s established channel network. The company framed the combined organization as having greater scale, resources, and commercial coverage that can support longer-term value creation.
Alamo Group’s product lineup spans a wide range of equipment used in public and private infrastructure maintenance and land management, including vacuum trucks, hydro excavation machines, street sweepers, truck-mounted grapple machines, snow and ice removal equipment, tractor-mounted mowing attachments, recycling and tree care equipment, and aftermarket parts and services. The company reported operating 27 plants across North America, Europe, Australia, and Brazil as of September 30, 2025.
