Alaris Acquisitions has named Jon Dubravac Senior Deal Leader, adding an experienced RIA founder, wealth management operator and M&A advisor to its sell-side advisory platform.
In his new role, Dubravac will guide wealth management firm owners through the full M&A process, from initial planning and preparation through closing.
His responsibilities will include helping founders clarify financial and personal objectives, preparing their businesses for market, evaluating prospective partners, comparing transaction structures, and negotiating key deal terms.
Alaris said Dubravac’s background gives him firsthand experience on both sides of the transaction process, including building and selling an advisory business, integrating into a larger wealth management organization, and later advising other founders on their own transactions.
Before joining Alaris, Dubravac co-founded WealthSource Partners and helped grow the RIA to approximately $2.5 billion in assets under management and nearly 90 employees.
WealthSource was subsequently acquired by OneDigital, and Dubravac played a significant role in integrating the business into OneDigital while supporting the continued expansion of the company’s wealth management platform through M&A execution, integration and organizational growth.
Following his time at OneDigital, Dubravac founded Blueprint Strategies, an independent M&A and strategic advisory firm focused on helping wealth management founders prepare for transactions, assess strategic alternatives and identify long-term partners.
Alaris subsequently acquired Blueprint Strategies, bringing Dubravac’s advisory relationships, transaction experience and seller-focused approach into its broader M&A platform.
At Alaris, Dubravac will also advise RIA owners on considerations extending beyond valuation and transaction structure.
Those issues include cultural alignment, client continuity, employee considerations, leadership responsibilities, control, integration planning and the seller’s role following completion of a transaction.
The firm said Dubravac’s experience operating through a post-acquisition integration gives him additional perspective on issues that can emerge after a deal is signed and helps sellers evaluate potential partners based on the longer-term implications of a transaction.
His appointment comes during continued consolidation across the registered investment adviser industry.
Alaris said RIA M&A transaction volume increased 19% during the first half of 2026 compared with the first half of 2025 as advisory firm owners increasingly evaluate succession plans, strategic partnerships and outright sales.
At the same time, wealth management transactions have become increasingly complex as buyers offer different combinations of cash, equity, earnouts, rollover ownership and operating structures.
Alaris has been expanding its senior advisory team to support that activity.
Dubravac’s appointment follows the April 2026 addition of Tony Leonard as Managing Director of Business Development. Together, the appointments expand Alaris’ capabilities across relationship development and transaction advisory.
Alaris focuses on sell-side M&A advisory for wealth management firms and uses what it calls its Deal Advocacy methodology to evaluate prospective buyers across factors including cultural fit, initial valuation and post-acquisition economics.
Rather than emphasizing valuation alone, the firm seeks to help sellers assess how a transaction could affect employees, clients, economics and the owner’s quality of life after closing.
KEY QUOTES:
“Jon brings an incredibly rare perspective to the M&A process because he has lived nearly every chapter of it himself. He understands what it means to build an RIA from the ground up, sell a business, integrate it into a larger organization and then sit across the table from other founders as their advisor. That experience makes him uniquely equipped to help our clients navigate the complexities of a transaction and, most importantly, understand what happens after the deal closes. We are thrilled to have him on the Alaris team.”
Allen Darby, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alaris Acquisitions
“I’ve experienced this process from virtually every angle. My experience has reinforced for me that a successful transaction is about far more than valuation. It’s about understanding what an owner actually wants to accomplish and finding a partner and structure that supports the business, its people and the owner’s vision for the future. That is what makes Alaris’ approach so compelling, and I’m excited to work closely with the firm and the founders we serve.”
