Alkira added Guru Ramamoorthy, S&P Global’s Global Head of Cloud & Infrastructure, to its advisory board as the company pushes deeper into what it calls AI native networking and modern multi-cloud network operations.
The NIaaS provider said Ramamoorthy brings hands-on experience running large-scale enterprise infrastructure, including cloud, network, security, and AI-driven infrastructure operations. At S&P Global, he leads a global organization of more than 1,000 professionals, and Alkira highlighted his prior experience at major financial institutions, including Visa and BNY Mellon, as relevant to enterprises managing complex, security-sensitive environments.
Ramamoorthy joins an advisory board that Alkira has been expanding. The company pointed to the recent appointment of Maria Martinez, the former COO of Cisco Systems, and positioned the board buildout as part of a broader effort to help enterprises rethink network foundations as AI workloads increase demands on performance, reliability, and security.
The appointment also follows a period of product momentum for Alkira. The company said it launched its Network Infrastructure Assistant co-pilot and a Model Context Protocol server in late 2025, aimed at letting organizations manage multi-cloud networks through natural language interaction.
