Allegion Acquires Access Control Software Company Gatewise

Allegion, a leading global provider of security products and solutions, has acquired Gatewise, a provider of smart access control solutions in the U.S. multifamily market, through one of its subsidiaries.

Founded in 2017 in Houston, Texas, Gatewise is a software-as-a-service provider offering a retrofit-friendly gate entry system for multifamily communities. Its portfolio includes a mobile app for residents and a cloud-based management portal for property managers, complementing Allegion’s electronic locks and the Zentra access solution to enhance overall security.

Gatewise CEO Amit Sherman will join Allegion to facilitate integration and promote growth for the combined businesses. Transaction terms remain undisclosed.
