Allegion announced that it has acquired DCI Hollow Metal on Demand, a privately held manufacturer of custom, quick-ship hollow metal doors and frames serving industrial, commercial, and institutional markets.
Based in the Los Angeles, California area, DCI produces specialized door and frame solutions installed across a range of facilities, including hospitals and medical centers, government buildings, K–12 schools and universities, commercial offices, and stadiums. The acquisition expands Allegion’s portfolio of mechanical security products and strengthens its presence in the non-residential construction market.
Following the acquisition, DCI will operate within Allegion’s Americas segment, which is led by Senior Vice President Dave Ilardi. The company will join Allegion’s doors and frames portfolio alongside brands such as Steelcraft, Republic Doors, and Krieger Specialty Products.
DCI CEO Bob Briggs will remain involved during the transition period, serving in an advisory capacity as the company integrates into Allegion’s operations. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Allegion designs and manufactures security and access solutions aimed at helping keep people safe where they live, learn, work, and connect. The company’s portfolio includes residential and commercial locks, door closers and exit devices, steel doors and frames, access control systems, and workforce productivity technologies. Allegion reported $4.1 billion in revenue in 2025.
