Melcher & Prescott is an independent full-service insurance agency and brokerage headquartered in Laconia, New Hampshire. Founded in 1862, the firm has operated for 164 years.
Its capabilities include commercial insurance, employee benefits, personal insurance, life and health insurance, and risk management services.
The company serves businesses and individuals throughout New England and surrounding markets.
After the acquisition, Melcher & Prescott will transition to Alliant Insurance Services.
The transaction gives Melcher & Prescott access to Alliant’s broader national brokerage resources and specialized insurance capabilities.
Alliant has more than 14,000 employees and operates through specialized national platforms and local offices.
The acquisition also supports Alliant’s continued expansion in the Northeast.
