Alliant Power Acquires Capital Reman Exchange To Expand Heavy-Duty Engine Remanufacturing Offering

Alliant Power has acquired Capital Reman Exchange, adding Class 8 diesel engine and component remanufacturing capabilities to its portfolio as it looks to deliver more end-to-end solutions for the heavy-duty aftermarket across North America. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Capital Reman Exchange is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, and is known for remanufacturing heavy-duty diesel engines and components for equipment owners, fleet operators, and dealers nationwide. Alliant Power said the combination will pair its OE-critical diesel engine repair components and value-added solutions with Capital Reman’s remanufacturing operation, enabling broader support for service shops, fleets, and dealers.

The companies said the expanded offering will include premium overhaul kits, long blocks built to OE specifications, and additional fuel and air system solutions. Alliant Power also pointed to market dynamics, including aging fleets and rising repair costs, positioning remanufactured engines as a way for fleets to extend vehicle lifecycles and reduce total cost of ownership.

Capital Reman has spent more than a decade building its remanufacturing platform and machine shop capabilities, according to the announcement. Alliant Power said integrating that footprint with its existing parts business will help improve speed, reliability, and overall repair outcomes for customers seeking cost-effective, “done right the first time” service.
