Ally Technical Secures Growth Investment From FFL Partners Following Althea US Rebrand

Althea US has rebranded as Ally Technical and received a growth investment from FFL Partners as the healthcare technology management company expands its services and pursues additional organic growth and acquisitions. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Nashville-based Ally Technical provides service, parts, technical support and training for medical technology equipment from major manufacturers.

The new brand reflects the company’s position as an independent healthcare technology management provider combining field service with internal technical capabilities.

Its services include system and parts testing, board-level repair, depot repair, replacement parts and technical training.

Ally Technical developed a significant base of expertise around contrast injectors and is applying its engineering, repair and support capabilities across a broader range of medical equipment.

The company provides on-site service for a large installed base of aging medical devices across the U.S.

Its broader offering includes medical parts, maintenance, repairs, equipment sales and installation, training and technical support.

FFL Partners sees an opportunity to expand the company as healthcare providers increasingly use independent service organizations for maintenance, parts and technical support.

The companies plan to pursue growth both organically and through strategic M&A.

Potential initiatives include expansion into additional medical-device modalities and markets where Ally Technical currently has limited penetration.

FFL’s investment resulted from its Sector Exploration and Expertise Development, or SEED, sourcing and value-creation strategy.

Dan Siler, CEO of Ally Technical

“Healthcare providers are increasingly turning to experienced independent service organizations (“ISOs”) for mission-critical maintenance, service and parts support to improve cost efficiency. As a preferred servicing partner, Ally Technical is well positioned to capitalize on this trend as more healthcare organizations partner with ISOs. Alongside CEO Dan Siler and his talented team, we have identified meaningful growth opportunities where FFL can help Ally Technical scale organically and through acquisitions, expand into new modalities, and enter high-growth markets with significant white space.”
