Alocity has completed a Series A financing round to expand its artificial intelligence platform for managing physical spaces. The round was led by a private investor group alongside founder and CEO Marco Quintero.
The amount of the financing was not disclosed. Alocity plans to use the capital to accelerate product development and expand its engineering, customer success, sales and marketing organizations.
The company will also grow its network of security integration partners. These partners help businesses install, configure and support access control, video surveillance and related physical security systems.
Alocity develops an AI operating system that unifies access control, video intelligence, visitor management, intercom communications and automated workflows. The company’s goal is to replace several disconnected security applications with a single conversational interface.
At the center of the platform is Aimee, an AI operator designed for physical spaces. Users can describe what they want to accomplish rather than navigating separate dashboards or manually configuring individual systems.
Aimee interprets the user’s intent, analyzes information across connected security systems and carries out authorized actions. The platform also maintains an audit trail so organizations can review the requests, decisions and actions associated with each interaction.
Potential uses could include investigating security events, managing visitors, responding to access requests and coordinating information from cameras and building systems. Actions remain subject to the permissions and controls established by the organization.
Alocity’s architecture is designed to work with existing physical security infrastructure rather than requiring customers to replace all of their current equipment. The platform integrates with Mercury Security access controllers, which are widely used by security systems and integrators.
The company also offers AiVR, an AI-enabled digital video recorder powered by Nvidia technology. AiVR adds local artificial intelligence processing to existing camera environments through a secure network connection.
Local processing can allow organizations to analyze video without transmitting all footage to an outside cloud platform. This approach may reduce bandwidth requirements, improve response times and give customers greater control over sensitive video data.
By extending the capabilities of existing controllers and cameras, Alocity aims to lower the cost and complexity of modernizing physical security operations. Customers can introduce AI functionality while preserving investments in installed infrastructure.
The company believes enterprises increasingly expect software to understand requests and complete tasks rather than require users to learn complex menus and workflows. Alocity is applying that conversational model to the management of buildings and other physical environments.
The Series A funding will also support deeper technology partnerships and expanded enterprise features. Alocity plans to work with security integrators as it brings its AI operating experience to more customer environments.
KEY QUOTES:
“The last year marked a fundamental shift. Artificial intelligence has become part of people’s everyday lives, fundamentally changing what users expect from enterprise software.”
“For decades, people had to understand how their software worked. The next generation of software understands how people work. AI isn’t changing what buildings or enterprises do, it’s changing how people interact and operate within them.”
“We believe the future isn’t another dashboard. It’s an intelligent operator that understands intent, reasons across connected systems, and performs work on your behalf. That’s the future we built Aimee to deliver.”
Marco Quintero, Founder and CEO of Alocity
“Physical security has spent decades adding products, features and dashboards. The result has been more complexity for both integrators and their customers.”
“We believe the next wave of innovation isn’t another product, it’s a completely different experience. One Platform. Every Space. One Intelligent Experience. That’s the future we’re building alongside our partners.”
DJ Atkins, Chief Revenue Officer of Alocity
