She previously served as President and Executive Director of Shanghai Innovation Bank, formerly known as SPD Silicon Valley Bank, and held a concurrent leadership position with Silicon Valley Bank Asia from 2020 to 2023.

Earlier in her career, she held senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank.

Her experience includes working with high-growth companies, venture capital institutions, and businesses requiring financial services throughout different stages of development.

At Alpha Ladder, Lu will oversee two major strategic initiatives: expanding its Wealth Management Solutions business internationally and developing financial services capabilities across key international markets.

The company’s wealth management strategy combines traditional investment principles with access to emerging technologies and new asset classes.

Its platform is designed to help investors access, manage, and diversify portfolios while maintaining a focus on regulatory compliance and financial risk management.

Lu will lead the development of this offering as Alpha Ladder expands its relationships with investors and financial services partners.

Her second responsibility is to build the company’s international financial services platform.

Alpha Ladder plans to expand its capabilities across Hong Kong, the Middle East and Africa, Europe, the United States, and Latin America.

A key part of the strategy is serving Chinese enterprises as they establish and expand operations internationally.

These businesses often require financing, payment processing, wealth management, and regulatory support across multiple jurisdictions.

Alpha Ladder intends to develop an integrated platform spanning four principal services: financing, payments, wealth management, and compliance.

The company believes combining these capabilities will help businesses coordinate their financial activities as they enter new markets.

Lu’s experience at Shanghai Innovation Bank and Silicon Valley Bank Asia provides a background in supporting innovation-driven companies and investors with international financial requirements.

She also brings experience working with venture capital institutions and businesses at different stages of growth.

Before joining Alpha Ladder, Lu served on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s first Sci-Tech Innovation Advisory Committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Fudan University and an International MBA from the University of Hong Kong.

Headquartered in Singapore, Alpha Ladder describes itself as a technology and financial services group focused on digital and green transformation.

Lu’s appointment supports its efforts to broaden its international presence while developing wealth management and cross-border financial services.
