AlpSemi announced that it has raised €17 million in funding to support the industrialization and commercial scale-up of its next-generation semiconductor power switches.
The funding round was led by Yotta Capital, with participation from SE Ventures, Navitas Semiconductor, and Cycle Group.
AlpSemi is developing semiconductor power switches designed for solid-state circuit breakers used in residential and commercial buildings and 800V direct current AI data centers. The company’s platform is focused on enabling digital, software-controlled power distribution for smarter energy management across global markets.
The company said its differentiated approach spans materials, devices, and systems, creating a vertically integrated semiconductor platform designed to address real-world power infrastructure challenges.
Solid-state circuit breakers represent a shift from legacy electromechanical systems to semiconductor-based, digitally controlled power protection and distribution. These systems can enable real-time control and protection of electrical systems, improve energy efficiency and reliability for AC and DC architectures, and support scalable electrification across buildings, industries, and data centers.
AlpSemi has launched its first product, AS800, a semiconductor power switch designed for solid-state miniature circuit breakers operating in 110V and 230V environments. The product is designed to deliver high power density and compactness, support the integration of distributed energy resources, and address the need for greater flexibility in modern electrical systems.
The company said AS800 was developed through a global supply chain in collaboration with international partners and is positioned for deployment at industrial scale. The new funding will support expanded commercialization of the product.
AlpSemi’s broader roadmap includes high-voltage power protection systems for 800V DC architectures in AI data centers. As AI data centers move toward higher-voltage DC power systems, the company aims to support higher power density, improved power conversion efficiency, and advanced protection for intelligent power distribution.
Headquartered in Grenoble, France, AlpSemi develops semiconductor power switches for solid-state circuit breakers across residential and commercial buildings, AI data centers, industrial electrification systems, and electric mobility applications.
