Always Best Care: Franchisee Expands North Carolina Footprint Through Acquisitions And Growth

Always Best Care Senior Services announced that franchisee Samantha Loy has significantly expanded her operations across North Carolina through a combination of market growth and strategic acquisitions, strengthening the company’s presence in key regions of the state.

Loy has entered the Charlotte and Lake Norman markets while also acquiring established locations in Winston-Salem and Concord, which were previously operated by her mother. The move is designed to ensure continuity of care for existing clients and caregivers while extending her leadership across multiple high-demand regions.

With this expansion, Loy now oversees a network of locations serving Burlington, Greensboro, Chapel Hill-Durham, Winston-Salem, Concord, and Greater Charlotte. She leads a workforce of more than 500 employees delivering in-home senior care services, reflecting steady operational growth and increasing demand for care solutions that enable seniors to remain at home.

Her leadership trajectory began early, with an internship at an Always Best Care franchise in her teens, followed by a leadership role at age 29. Since launching her own franchise operations, Loy has doubled revenue over the past five years while steadily broadening geographic reach.

The expansion comes amid rising demand for senior care services in North Carolina. The state’s population of residents aged 65 and older is projected to reach 2.8 million by 2042, and by 2031, older adults are expected to outnumber children under 18. This demographic shift is driving an increased need for in-home care services across both urban and suburban markets.

Always Best Care provides a wide range of services across Loy’s expanded territories, including non-medical personal care, assistance with daily activities, mobility support, medication reminders, transportation, companionship, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, respite care, post-hospitalization support, and senior living referral services.

Loy has also demonstrated community impact beyond business growth, helping more than 100 veterans access care services through the Veterans Administration and local programs. Her leadership has been recognized with inclusion in The Business Journal’s 2026 Class of 40 Under 40, and she is the youngest recipient of the company’s Franchisee of the Year award.

Founded in 1996, Always Best Care Senior Services provides non-medical in-home care and assisted living referral services, supporting seniors with a range of personal and health-related needs.
