Amadeus has acquired SkyLink, an AI-first technology company headquartered in New York, as part of its strategy to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence across the travel industry. The transaction strengthens Amadeus’ capabilities in orchestration and conversational automation, particularly within corporate travel.

SkyLink was founded to improve the corporate travel experience and has developed a proprietary AI architecture and multilayer orchestration engine designed to integrate seamlessly into chat platforms. Its technology enables travelers to book and service flights and hotels conversationally within seconds, while helping businesses reduce costs and improve productivity. The company has already completed tens of thousands of bookings, demonstrating growing adoption of AI-driven travel workflows.

The acquisition comes as the travel industry shifts from AI proof-of-concept initiatives to scaled adoption. Amadeus said the deal reinforces its strategy of deploying AI use cases grounded in scalability and operational reality, building on its longstanding use of AI to optimize travel operations.

As part of this strategy, Amadeus has been progressively enabling its products with AI-powered conversational layers that help customers’ employees access insights more easily and make fuller use of existing capabilities. SkyLink’s AI-native framework complements Amadeus’ global footprint, suite of APIs, and industry integrations. Operating in more than 190 markets and processing billions of search requests and millions of travel transactions daily, Amadeus said its scale enables reliable, high-volume application of AI to deliver more relevant and efficient traveler interactions.

An immediate benefit of the acquisition will be enhanced support for Travel Management Companies, strengthening Amadeus’ corporate travel solutions and expanding its presence in North America. Over time, Amadeus plans to extend AI-driven conversational capabilities beyond corporate travel to airlines, airports, hospitality providers, and the broader travel ecosystem. The goal is to enable AI-powered conversational companions that support travelers before, during, and after their journeys while allowing providers to deliver seamless, responsive experiences at scale.

Amadeus said the transaction aligns with its broader strategy of combining targeted acquisitions and strategic partnerships with a responsible AI framework. The company emphasized its focus on secure, scalable interfaces and operationally grounded AI applications designed to deliver measurable value across the travel ecosystem.
