Have you purchased something from Amazon and wanted to return it for a refund? Retail giant Kohl’s has announced that it is going to accept Amazon returns at all 1,150 of its store locations across 48 states. This program will be starting in July officially. Kohl’s is going to accept eligible Amazon items without a box or a label and return them for customers for free.
“We are thrilled to bring Amazon Returns at Kohl’s to all of our stores across the country,” said Kohl’s chief executive officer Michelle Gass. “Amazon and Kohl’s have a shared passion in providing outstanding customer service, and this unique partnership combines Kohl’s strong nationwide store footprint and omnichannel capabilities with Amazon’s reach and customer loyalty. This new service is another example of how Kohl’s is delivering innovation to drive traffic to our stores and bring more relevance to our customers.”
The items can be returned for free of charge regardless of the return reason and regardless of whether the items are packaged or unpackaged for shipping. Kohl’s will handle the packaging and mailing aspect on behalf of the customers.
Kohl’s also announced last month that it is expanding its production relationship with Amazon by carrying Amazon’s Alexa-based products like the Echo and Echo dot in over 200 stores. This program expands upon a pilot that launched at Kohl’s stores in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Milwaukee in 2017.
What does Kohl’s get from this partnership? Perhaps the customer returning the Amazon package will also shop around in the stores and make some purchases.
