Amentum Awarded $26.1 Million Air Force Contract Modification For AFCENT Aviation Command And Control Support

Amentum Services has been awarded a $26.1 million U.S. Air Force contract modification to support aviation command-and-control operations across the U.S. Air Forces Central area of responsibility.

The Chantilly, Virginia-based company received a $26,096,110 modification, designated P00013, to previously awarded contract FA4890-25-C-0002. The contract supports the Air Force’s Central Aviation Command and Control, Operations and Maintenance Support Services II program.

With the latest modification, the total cumulative face value of the contract increases to $78,698,857 from $52,602,747.

The program supports AFCENT aviation command and control activities as well as associated operations and maintenance requirements. These capabilities are designed to help coordinate and sustain Air Force aviation missions throughout AFCENT’s area of responsibility.

Work under the contract will be performed within the AFCENT area of responsibility rather than at a single domestic installation. The Air Force expects performance to continue through April 30, 2032, providing Amentum with a multiyear role supporting aviation command and control operations.

At the time of the award, the Air Force is obligating $24,408,422 in fiscal 2027 operations and maintenance funding. The remaining value of the modification may be funded as requirements and appropriations are made available over the contract period.

AFCENT is responsible for Air Force operations supporting U.S. Central Command missions and relies on command and control infrastructure to coordinate aircraft, personnel, operational data, mission planning, and other resources across a geographically extensive operating environment.

The latest modification expands the funding available under Amentum’s existing agreement and continues the company’s role in providing operational and technical support for Air Force aviation activities.

Amentum provides engineering, technology, operations, maintenance, logistics, and mission-support services to U.S. government and commercial customers, including extensive work across defense and national security programs.

The Air Combat Command’s Acquisition Management and Integration Center at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, is the contracting activity for the award.
