American Beacon Partners has appointed Matthew Tripp, CFA, as Vice President and Senior Client Portfolio Manager for ARK Invest, expanding the firm’s support for ARK’s investment strategies across the U.S. wealth management market.
In his new role, Tripp will work closely with both American Beacon and ARK Invest to support client relationships, advisor education, and distribution efforts. He will report to Jay Schilling, CFA, Head of Wealth & Institutional Sales.
Tripp brings more than 15 years of experience across investment management, business development, client portfolio management, and distribution.
Most recently, he served as Director and Investment Product Consultant at Envestnet PMC. In that role, he worked with private wealth clients and financial advisors across direct indexing, tax management, alternative investments, manager research, model portfolios, and other investment solutions.
Tripp was responsible for the full client acquisition lifecycle, from initial discovery through portfolio implementation and funding. During his time at Envestnet, he helped drive 19% year-over-year growth across direct indexing, model portfolios, and private wealth solutions.
Before joining Envestnet, Tripp served as Senior Director of Sub-Advisory at Aegon Asset Management, where he worked as a client portfolio manager for fixed-income strategies distributed through third-party partnerships.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than five years at Touchstone Investments, building relationships across registered investment advisors, bank trusts, independent advisors, broker-dealer platforms, institutional consultants, and family offices.
The appointment comes as American Beacon continues expanding its national distribution platform. Over the past two years, the firm has added Regional Advisor Consultants across the West, Northeast, South Atlantic, South Central, and North Central regions.
Tripp’s appointment adds dedicated client portfolio management expertise focused specifically on the ARK Invest platform, complementing American Beacon’s broader regional advisor coverage.
American Beacon has also continued developing its existing sales organization, with several regional advisor consultants and internal wholesalers moving into expanded regional and leadership positions during 2026.
