American Momentum Bank launched a formal Energy Finance Division to expand its banking relationships across the Texas energy sector.
The new division builds on the bank’s existing experience working with upstream oil and gas companies and energy service businesses.
American Momentum Bank plans to pursue additional relationships across the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, Gulf Coast, and other Texas energy markets.
The division will initially emphasize upstream oil and gas companies.
It will also target midstream companies, oilfield and energy service businesses, power generation companies, renewable energy companies, and businesses involved in the energy transition.
American Momentum Bank plans to provide energy companies with lending, deposit, treasury management, and other financial services.
Its financing capabilities will include reserve-based lending, borrowing-base facilities, term loans, equipment financing, midstream project financing, and working capital lines.
The bank will continue working with commercial lenders in Midland and Odessa.
It also plans to increase business development activity in Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth market.
Jim Dixon will lead the division as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Energy Finance.
Dixon previously served as American Momentum Bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.
American Momentum Bank had approximately $2.8 billion in total assets as of June 30, 2026.
It operates 18 full-service banking centers in Texas and eight in Florida.
