Americana Partners, a Houston-based independent wealth advisory firm backed by Dynasty Financial Partners, announced the appointment of Mike Mitchell as Chief Financial Officer, according to an official company press release. The hire adds a seasoned financial executive to the firm’s leadership team as it continues its national expansion.
Mitchell brings 35 years of experience in financial services and will oversee the firm’s financial strategy and operations. His responsibilities include driving revenue growth, managing expenses, expanding margins, overseeing liquidity planning, supporting M&A activity, and leading legal oversight and shareholder relations.
The firm manages more than $12.1 billion in client assets and has grown rapidly since its founding in 2019. Americana Partners provides wealth advisory and family office services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients across the United States, including a dedicated division serving ultra-high-net-worth Latin American clients.
Prior to joining Americana Partners, Mitchell served as Chief Financial Officer at Merit Financial Advisors, where he helped lead more than 30 M&A transactions and a recapitalization with a new private equity sponsor. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Toyota Financial Services, Wachovia Bank, and AT&T, and has served as CFO for multiple private equity-backed businesses.
Mitchell holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University and is active in charitable and educational initiatives, including serving on the board of Admiral Farragut Academy as Chairman of the Finance Committee and Treasurer.
