Americana Partners, an independent registered investment advisor (RIA) with $7+ billion in assets under management, announced its expansion into the Latin American market with the launch of Americana Partners International, dedicated to providing family office services to ultra-high net-worth individuals in the region.
Jorge Suárez-Vélez will be serving as CEO and Founding Partner of Americana Partners International (API). Formerly a Managing Director at Allen & Company Investment Advisors (the RIA arm of investment bank Allen & Co), Suárez-Vélez brings 20+ years of industry experience, and in particular deep expertise in Mexican political and economic issues to the firm.
Since 1998, he has been a regular contributor on CNN en español, discussing economic topics, and has weekly worked on Reforma/El Norte/Mural and previously to El Financiero in Mexico. Plus, Suárez-Vélez is also a best-selling author of two books and a sought-after speaker at key economic conferences all over the Americas.
Americana Partners had celebrated its five-year anniversary on April 26, 2024, and has grown rapidly since launching in 2019. And in February 2023, the firm brought on a $700 million team based in the Permian Basin in Texas. With the addition of its new international clientele, Americana Partners will add Pershing Advisor Services as a custodian for its current custodial relationships with Schwab and Fidelity.
