Ameriprise Financial has provided more than $3 million through grants and charitable matching programs as part of its efforts to support nonprofit organizations and communities across the U.S.
The company awarded more than $2 million in grants to 83 nonprofits through the first round of its 2026 grant program. Ameriprise also contributed another $1 million through global gift-matching programs that double qualifying donations from employees and financial advisors.
Ameriprise’s community strategy combines grant funding, employee volunteerism and long-term relationships with nonprofit organizations.
One of the company’s grants provided $100,000 in matching funds for Second Harvest Heartland’s 24-Hour Harvest campaign. The campaign raised more than $1.14 million, attracted more than 1,000 new donors and provided nearly 3.5 million meals.
Ameriprise also provided an additional $100,000 grant to the American Red Cross for Services to the Armed Forces. The program offers rehabilitation services, mental health resources, caregiver assistance and financial support for service members and their families.
The company also sponsored the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, where more than 2,800 athletes competed across 16 sports. Ameriprise employees and advisors contributed approximately 1,400 volunteer hours and wrote 860 cards for participating athletes.
Arts organizations represent another focus area for the company’s charitable activities.
Ameriprise supported 21 arts organizations, including the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday program in Minnesota, which provides free arts experiences to more than 16,000 visitors each year. The company also supports organizations including the Boston Ballet, Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas and Charlotte Symphony Orchestra.
Ameriprise employees and advisors contributed more than 18,200 volunteer hours during the first half of 2026.
The company provides employees with eight hours of paid volunteer time annually and operates global gift-matching and volunteer rewards programs to direct additional charitable funding to eligible nonprofits.
Ameriprise said its grantmaking, volunteerism and matching programs collectively support more than 8,000 nonprofits globally.
