AMETEK announced a definitive agreement to acquire Indicor Instrumentation from Indicor in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $5 billion.
Indicor Instrumentation consists of a portfolio of instrumentation businesses focused on mission-critical industrial and scientific applications. The businesses provide products and solutions across industrial and scientific end markets aligned with AMETEK’s existing operations.
AMETEK said Indicor Instrumentation generates approximately $1.1 billion in annual revenue and maintains profitability levels consistent with AMETEK’s broader portfolio.
The acquired businesses also generate recurring revenue through consumables, services, and aftermarket support offerings.
Following completion of the transaction, AMETEK plans to integrate the businesses into its Electronic Instruments Group and Electromechanical Group based on product categories and market alignment.
The company said the acquisition strengthens its portfolio with differentiated technologies, complementary market positions, and long-term growth opportunities.
AMETEK plans to finance the acquisition through borrowings under its existing credit facility along with new debt issuance.
The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions and is expected to close during the second half of 2026.
