By Amit Chowdhry • May 27, 2026

AMETEK announced it has completed the acquisition of First Aviation Services, a provider of highly engineered defense and aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services along with proprietary aerospace components.

The acquisition strengthens AMETEK’s position in mission critical aerospace and defense applications by expanding its MRO capabilities and adding complementary proprietary products and services. First Aviation specializes in advanced electronics, rotor blades and assemblies, propellers, landing gear, flight controls, and the design and manufacturing of critical defense and aviation components.

David A. Zapico, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMETEK, said the acquisition aligns strategically with the company’s existing MRO business and creates opportunities for market expansion and additional scale across aerospace and defense platforms.

First Aviation generates approximately $80 million in annual revenue and operates six centers of excellence across the United States. The company will join AMETEK as part of its Electromechanical Group (EMG).

Founded in 1930, AMETEK is a global provider of industrial technology solutions with annual sales of approximately $7.5 billion. The company is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol AME and is part of the S&P 500.
