AMOpportunities recently announced an additional $2 million to its Series A2 from new investors Laerdal Million Lives Fund and LAGO Innovation Fund, as well as current investors PACE Healthcare Capital, OCA Ventures, and HealthX Ventures. This funding round is now fully subscribed and will close imminently. And this brings the total funding to nearly $11 million.
The Laerdal Million Lives Fund launched in 2020 to invest in enabling technologies and platforms capable of saving lives by improving healthcare quality and education of healthcare workers. And the Million Lives Fund is backed by Laerdal Medical, the world-leading provider of training, educational, and therapy products for healthcare providers, voluntary organizations, educational institutions, hospitals, and the military worldwide. They are investing $1 million and joining the Board in an observer capacity.
LAGO Innovation Fund, AMO’s current lender, is investing in equity and committing to invest $50K. And AMOpportunities will use the additional funding to continue to expand its network of U.S. hospitals and clinical partners as well as global medical schools.
This funding round comes on the heels of other exciting announcements from the company, including welcoming Dr. Kevin Klauer as senior advisor for strategic partnerships; appointing Jon David Willingham to its Board of Directors; and the celebration of its 10th anniversary.
