AMP IT, a Geneva-based energy and mobility company, has completed a new funding round supported notably by the Swiss Technology Fund, bringing the company’s total funding to €7 million since its founding in 2021. The capital will support operational scaling, further development of its proprietary software platform, and expansion into selected European markets beyond its core Swiss market.
AMP IT develops, finances, installs, and operates smart EV charging infrastructure for residential buildings, commercial real estate, and corporate fleets through a charging-as-a-service model. Central to the offering is AMP IT Hub, the company’s proprietary software platform that enables real-time monitoring, smart energy management, and AI-powered charging scheduling combined with subscription-based billing. Its intelligent algorithms dynamically optimize energy usage by prioritizing local renewable sources and managing demand, reducing costs for users while delivering a more reliable charging experience.
The company has experienced strong growth since launch, reporting double- to triple-digit annual revenue increases and building a development pipeline exceeding 15,000 charging points. Growth has been driven by increasing demand from building owners, corporate fleet operators, and commercial real estate clients looking for integrated infrastructure and energy management solutions rather than standalone charging hardware. AMP IT said volatility in fuel prices is expected to accelerate EV adoption in its target markets in the near term.
Looking ahead, AMP IT plans to expand its footprint in Switzerland while targeting high-potential European markets, particularly in the Nordics and Southern Europe. The company aims to position itself as a leading player in the private charging space as buildings increasingly serve as nodes in broader energy management and distribution networks.
