AMP Super Appoints Minh Tran General Manager Of Business Development

AMP has appointed Minh Tran as General Manager of Business Development, expanding its focus on employer relationships, strategic partnerships, and institutional business growth in Australia’s superannuation market. Tran will report to Richard Millington, Director of Employer and Adviser Partnerships, and is scheduled to begin his new role on November 9, 2026.

Tran will lead AMP Super’s business development strategy, focusing on securing new employer mandates, expanding relationships with consultants and institutional partners, and strengthening its position in the workplace superannuation market.

He most recently served as Head of Workplace Growth at Rest, where he directed the organization’s multichannel growth strategy.

During his tenure, Tran helped develop Rest’s Employer Value Proposition and managed strategic relationships with research organizations and tender consultants.

Previously, he served as Strategic Partnerships Lead at AIA Australia.

Earlier in his career, Tran spent more than 17 years at MLC Australia, working across its MasterKey Business Super and Plum operations.

His responsibilities included managing institutional client relationships, leading business development teams, and developing strategic distribution partnerships.

At AMP, Tran will focus on expanding the company’s employer customer base and strengthening partnerships with organizations involved in superannuation research, distribution, and workplace financial services.
