AMPAM Parks Mechanical, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital and a California-based provider of integrated residential mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions, announced that it has acquired Coastal Fire & Integration Systems, a San Diego-area provider of fire protection, low-voltage, and life safety systems. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Poway, California, Coastal provides life safety and technology-based consulting, design, installation, inspection, and quality control services for multifamily and mixed-use projects. The acquisition enhances AMPAM’s integrated services platform and strengthens its ability to deliver building infrastructure solutions for multifamily, hospitality, student housing, senior living, and mixed-use developments throughout California.

As part of the transaction, Coastal will continue serving its existing and new customers while benefiting from AMPAM’s scale, resources, and growth opportunities.

Founded in 1978 as a plumbing contractor, AMPAM has evolved into a leading provider of integrated mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and service solutions across California. Headquartered in Carson, California, the company provides preconstruction, prefabrication, installation, and service offerings with a focus on safety, quality, innovation, and long-term customer relationships.

Gemspring Capital, based in Westport, Connecticut, manages $5.1 billion in capital and provides flexible capital solutions to middle-market companies across sectors including aerospace and defense, business services, healthcare, industrials, software, and tech-enabled services.
