Amperos Health: $4.2 Million Seed Funding Raised For AI Biller Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 11, 2025

Amperos Health announced the launch of Amanda, the world’s first AI biller specifically created for healthcare providers, designed to reduce denials and recover outstanding claims for revenue cycle management (RCM) teams. And Amperos has secured a $4.2 million seed funding round from top venture capital firms Uncork Capital, Neo, and Nebular, alongside strategic angel investors from OpenAI, Twilio, and Stripe, bringing its total funding to $5 million to date.

Problem being addressed: Denied and unpaid claims represent a multi-billion-dollar issue for the healthcare industry, creating a significant administrative burden for providers. Each year, insurance denials increase by 10%, while providers spend billions pursuing unpaid claims. And at the same time, staffing shortages impact a large percentage of RCM teams, leaving healthcare billers more overwhelmed than ever. This situation has become existential for many healthcare professionals who are faced with soaring operational costs, forcing them to reduce services or even shut down their practices entirely.

Amada: Amanda works across multiple systems and tasks, including insurance websites and contacting payors, to determine how providers can reverse denials and receive payment for outstanding claims. Trained by real healthcare billers to know precisely how to tackle any possible scenario, Amanda requires no configuration and can fit seamlessly into teams on day one. More importantly, Amanda can also reason and execute chains of actions to provide her teams with a new level of automation never before possible. To date, Amanda has automated 75,000+ calls and collected $120 million in annual revenue for Amperos customers.

How the funding will be used: With the new seed funding round, Amperos plans to continue expanding both Amanda’s capabilities and introducing new AI coworkers for RCM teams, while expanding to support more customers across inpatient, outpatient, DSO, and DME providers.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our mission is to make getting paid by insurance so seamless for providers that it becomes an afterthought rather than a critical operational issue. That’s why we built Amanda—so providers can spend more time growing their clinics and serving patients, not chasing payment.”

Amperos Health CEO Michal Miernowski

“We weren’t even touching 27% of our claims before hiring Amanda, and the team was severely understaffed. Now with Amanda, our team has been able to address understaffing by helping us work through more unpaid claims, faster. Amperos has allowed our team to spend more time on the most valuable work, and less time doing the mundane tasks associated with collecting claims.”

Janna Mullaney, Chief Operating Officer at EyeCare Service Partners

“We value founder-market fit above all, and as someone who has spent years working with healthcare providers, Michal was built to help solve this deeply entrenched problem. The problem of denials and collections of healthcare is one that has only gotten worse since COVID and we’re excited to back a team and product that is driving not just meaningful ROI and cash in the door for providers, but also helping job satisfaction and give time back to healthcare teams for more essential work.”
