Amphenol Corporation announced it has completed its previously announced acquisition of CommScope’s Connectivity and Cable Solutions (CCS) business, expanding Amphenol’s footprint in fiber optic and industrial interconnect products across data communications, communications networks and building infrastructure connectivity markets.
Amphenol President and CEO R. Adam Norwitt said the transaction strengthens the company’s fiber optic interconnect capabilities for IT datacom and communications networks, while also adding a broader portfolio of industrial interconnect products aimed at building infrastructure applications. Amphenol said it is adding approximately 20,000 CCS employees as part of the acquisition.
The company expects CCS to generate approximately $4.1 billion in full-year 2026 sales. Amphenol also said the acquisition is expected to be approximately $0.15 accretive to 2026 diluted earnings per share, excluding acquisition-related expenses. Following the closing, the CCS business will be included in Amphenol’s Communications Solutions Segment.
