Amplix, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital and a provider of technology advisory services, announced the acquisition of RAS3 Communications and Consulting. The transaction marks Amplix’s thirteenth acquisition since the platform was formed in 2022 and strengthens its presence in Florida, where the company has expanded through several recent acquisitions.
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Miami, RAS3 serves business customers across South Florida and advises organizations on networking, customer experience, infrastructure, and communications technologies. Through its consultative approach, the company helps clients navigate IT procurement and identify cost-effective technology solutions that support operational requirements and long-term growth.
Amplix said the acquisition will provide RAS3 customers with access to expanded capabilities in customer experience, cybersecurity, cloud computing, mobility, artificial intelligence, implementation services, and managed services. Following the transaction, RAS3’s leadership team and employees will join Amplix, and operations will continue under the Amplix brand.
Amplix serves more than 3,500 clients nationwide and provides advisory, consulting, implementation, and managed services across technology categories including AI, cloud, infrastructure, security, unified communications, mobility, and business applications. The company is headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts, and employs more than 275 people across over 20 states and Canada.
Gemspring Capital, based in Westport, Connecticut, manages approximately $5.1 billion in capital and focuses on investing in middle-market companies across business services, healthcare, software, industrial, and technology-enabled sectors.
