AMTD IDEA Group announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a London office tower at 40 Furnival Street, London EC4A 1JQ, for an effective consideration of approximately $17 million (£12 million). The acquisition was announced jointly by AMTD Group, AMTD IDEA Group, AMTD Digital, and The Generation Essentials Group (TGE).

The transaction is expected to be completed without the use of external financing, including a previously announced term loan facility related to the acquisition. Closing remains subject to customary conditions and is expected to occur in the near future.

Located in Midtown London, one of the city’s most prominent commercial districts, the property is situated less than 100 meters from Chancery Lane station and within walking distance of Farringdon Station, a major transport hub served by the Elizabeth line. The area is home to a mix of retail, leisure, and business amenities and hosts a growing number of international occupiers.

The Grade A office building comprises approximately 9,646 square feet (896.1 square meters) of office and ancillary space across a lower ground floor, ground floor, and five upper floors. The property also includes a rooftop terrace on the fifth floor.

Upon completion, the building is expected to serve as one of the global headquarters for AMTD, The Art Newspaper, and L’Officiel. The company said the acquisition will further strengthen its presence in the United Kingdom and support the continued expansion of its global ecosystem.
