Amundi has appointed John O’Toole Chief Investment Officer for Asia as part of a broader expansion of its investment leadership presence across Hong Kong and Singapore.
O’Toole will be based in Hong Kong while retaining his global responsibilities as Global Head and CIO of Amundi’s Solutions platform. He has been with Amundi since 2005 and is a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Amundi has also relocated Andriy Boychuck, Global Deputy Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income, to Singapore; named Ray Jian Head of Fixed Income North Asia and Head of Emerging Markets Debt Aggregate Strategies in Hong Kong; and is relocating Nick McConway, Head of Emerging Markets Equities, Asia, to Singapore.
Siddharth Sanghvi has also been appointed Emerging Markets Equity Senior Portfolio Manager and will be based in Singapore.
Boychuck brings more than 20 years of emerging markets and high-yield credit experience. Jian has more than 19 years of experience in global emerging markets and high-yield credit and previously worked as a fixed-income trader at Bank of China.
McConway brings more than 25 years of Asian and emerging-markets equity experience and has led Amundi’s Asia ex-Japan equity perimeter since 2020. Sanghvi has more than 20 years of investment experience and joined Amundi in 2008.
The appointments are part of Amundi’s effort to strengthen local investment capabilities across Asia. The asset manager oversees more than €2.3 trillion in assets and has approximately 5,600 employees across 35 countries.
