Amynta Group Acquires Southern States Underwriters To Expand Agribusiness Insurance Platform

Amynta Group has completed its acquisition of Southern States Underwriters and SSC Insurance Agency, expanding its specialty insurance platform in the agribusiness market.

Southern States Underwriters operates as a specialty managing general underwriter focused on commercial property and casualty insurance for agricultural businesses and related customers. The company also serves as attorney-in-fact for the Southern States Insurance Exchange.

The transaction was originally announced on August 12, 2026, and has now closed.

The acquisition adds a specialized agribusiness underwriting platform to Amynta’s broader insurance services business, which serves carriers, wholesalers, retail agencies, automotive companies, retailers, and other distribution partners.

Amynta manages more than $4 billion in total premium across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. The company provides a range of insurance and warranty protection products and operates with a focus on underwriting, distribution, and specialty program administration.

Southern States Underwriters brings experience in commercial property and casualty coverage tailored to the risks facing agribusiness customers. Its position as attorney-in-fact for the Southern States Insurance Exchange also gives the business an established role in managing and administering insurance operations for the exchange.

The acquisition broadens Amynta’s presence in specialty commercial insurance while adding capabilities in a market that requires sector-specific underwriting expertise.

Amynta has continued to build its insurance services platform through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions across specialty insurance, managing general underwriting, warranty, and protection products.

With Southern States Underwriters now part of the organization, Amynta gains additional reach in agribusiness insurance while Southern States gains access to the resources and infrastructure of a larger global insurance services platform.

The transaction strengthens Amynta’s specialty underwriting capabilities and adds another niche market to a portfolio that spans multiple industries and geographies.
