Anaconda has appointed Stewart Grierson as Chief Financial Officer as the AI-native development platform continues expanding its product capabilities and organizational infrastructure. Grierson will lead Anaconda’s finance organization and report to CEO David DeSanto.

He joins the company following what Anaconda describes as the most significant expansion in its history, including three acquisitions completed over the past six months.

Those acquisitions have broadened Anaconda’s capabilities across agentic engineering, AI orchestration, and AI security and guardrails.

The company said its platform now serves approximately 50 million active users.

Anaconda is also positioning its technology to help customers operate at trillion-token scale while maintaining cost efficiency and security.

Grierson will be responsible for developing the financial operating model needed to support that growth, including capital allocation, planning and broader financial strategy.

He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership roles across enterprise software, security, DevOps and data infrastructure companies.

Most recently, Grierson served as CFO and later COO of Sumo Logic, a cloud-native analytics platform for IT, operations and security teams.

He remained with Sumo Logic through its 2023 acquisition by Francisco Partners.

Before Sumo Logic, Grierson spent six years as CFO of Delphix, a data automation and governance company.

He also served for eight years as CFO of ArcSight, where he helped lead the security information and event management company through its 2008 initial public offering and subsequent acquisition by Hewlett Packard.

Grierson also serves on the board of cybersecurity and threat intelligence company Anomali.

Anaconda is simultaneously expanding its executive leadership structure with the appointment of Justin Farris as Chief of Staff.

Farris will lead the newly established Office of the CEO.

His responsibilities will include oversight of three new departments covering Strategy, Monetization and Incubation, as well as the company’s existing Data & Analytics team.

The appointments come as Anaconda works to scale both its platform and internal organization around growing enterprise demand for AI development infrastructure.
