Analog Devices has appointed Dr. Yoky Matsuoka to its Board of Directors as an independent director, effective January 20, 2026, adding her to the Board’s Corporate Development Committee and expanding the board to 11 members.
Matsuoka is an executive officer at Panasonic Holdings, where she leads global innovation and new business initiatives. Before joining Panasonic, she held senior roles spanning healthcare, connected home, and advanced R&D, including Vice President in Google’s healthcare organization, Chief Technology Officer at Google and Nest, and head of innovation and co-founder of Google X. She has also served in a senior executive role at Apple and previously led Quanttus, a wearable health technology startup, as CEO.
Earlier in her career, Matsuoka was an endowed professor at Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Washington, focusing on AI, robotics, and neuroscience. She founded and directed the NSF ERC Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering and the Neurobotics Laboratory, aimed at developing devices that restore sensation and movement. She is a MacArthur Genius Award recipient and later founded the YokyWorks Foundation, a non-profit supporting children with physical and learning challenges.
Matsuoka earned her Ph.D. and S.M. from MIT and a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, all in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In 2023, she was recognized on Forbes’ 50 Over 50: Innovation list and Inc.’s Top Female Founders list.
Analog Devices said the appointment strengthens the board’s technology and innovation expertise as the company continues to build solutions that connect the physical and digital worlds across end markets, including industrial automation, mobility, healthcare, energy, and data centers.
