Ancestry Buys Media Digitization Company iMemories

Ancestry, a leader in family history, has acquired iMemories, a company specializing in media digitization and cloud content preservation. This acquisition supports Ancestry’s goal of helping people discover and share their family histories.

iMemories transforms analog media, such as home movies and photos, into digital formats that can be streamed through its app. With over one million customers and more than 100 million assets digitized in 20 years, iMemories enhances Ancestry’s ability to offer personalized, AI-driven storytelling.

Ancestry aims to allow customers to digitize family media and add it to their family trees, enriching their experiences. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
