Andersen has partnered with the University of San Francisco School of Law (USF Law) to launch a first-of-its-kind Generative AI Tax Research Training Program, designed to redefine how tax professionals responsibly leverage artificial intelligence in their practice.
The initiative combines Andersen’s expertise in tax, valuation, and advisory services with USF Law’s pioneering approach to AI education, creating a comprehensive program designed to train professionals to integrate generative AI tools into tax research while maintaining ethical and professional standards.
The new program addresses a growing need within professional services to adopt AI technologies responsibly. As AI tools increasingly reshape workflows, firms are challenged to ensure that productivity gains do not come at the expense of compliance or professional integrity. The collaboration seeks to close that gap through structured, ethics-driven instruction tailored to the complexities of tax analysis and regulatory obligations.
The inaugural cohort, comprising approximately 60 Andersen professionals, will commence training in late 2025. Participants will learn to evaluate AI tools for tax research, integrate them into daily operations responsibly, maintain professional judgment, and adhere to compliance and ethical guidelines. The program will then be expanded across Andersen’s global network and offered as a professional development benefit at no cost to employees.
This collaboration builds upon Andersen and USF Law’s decade-long partnership, which began in 2014. More than 275 Andersen employees across 30 countries have already graduated from USF programs, including the Master of Legal Studies in Taxation (MLST), Master of Laws in Taxation (LLM), and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
The program also advances USF’s Center for Law, Tech, and Social Good, reinforcing the university’s commitment to integrating emerging technologies into legal education and professional formation.
