The U.S. Army has awarded defense technology company Anduril Industries a new enterprise contract with a ceiling value of up to $20 billion aimed at streamlining procurement of the company’s commercial technologies and accelerating the deployment of advanced capabilities to soldiers.

According to the U.S. Army, the agreement consolidates more than 120 separate procurement actions related to Anduril’s solutions into a single contractual framework. The move is intended to simplify acquisition processes, reduce administrative costs, and enable faster delivery of software platforms, integrated hardware, data infrastructure, and support services to the military.

The contract will run for 10 years and includes a five-year base period followed by a five-year optional ordering period. The Army said the $20 billion figure represents the maximum potential value of the contract rather than an amount already obligated.

Officials noted that the enterprise framework allows the Army to pre-negotiate pricing and contract terms, reducing negotiation timelines and enabling government teams to procure capabilities more quickly. The agreement also eliminates pass-through charges on subcontracts and allows the Army to benefit from volume pricing and discounts tied to future orders.

The Army said the contract will support the integration of Anduril’s technologies with hundreds of existing Army and joint systems, enabling strategic, operational, and tactical capabilities through expanded data integration across defense networks.

Military leaders also highlighted the contract’s role in strengthening counter-unmanned aircraft system interoperability and establishing a foundational command-and-control capability for defense operations.

The enterprise contract reflects the Defense Department’s broader push to modernize procurement practices and treat software as a core component of battlefield capability, allowing the military to deploy new tools to warfighters more quickly.

KEY QUOTES:

“This enterprise contract is a critical step in establishing a common framework for counter-UAS interoperability. It provides a foundational command and control capability. The Department of War and interagency partners now possess a clear path to a cohesive and operationally effective ecosystem that gives our warfighters the most advanced tools to defend the homeland.”

Brig. Gen. Matt Ross, Director Of Joint Interagency Task Force 401

“The modern battlefield is increasingly defined by software. To maintain our advantage, we must be able to acquire and deploy software capabilities with speed and efficiency. Enterprise contracts are a key part of our modernization strategy, allowing us to consolidate software agreements, eliminate redundancies, and accelerate the delivery of critical tools.”
