Anduril To Buy Edge Computing And Tactical Communications Company Klas

Anduril Industries announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Klas, a leader in edge computing and tactical communications. This acquisition, pending regulatory approval, will integrate Klas’ rugged hardware into Anduril’s portfolio of autonomous systems and connected warfare capabilities, providing faster, more resilient, and seamlessly integrated solutions for operations in harsh conditions at the tactical edge.

Deal value proposition: Modern defense operations need compute and connectivity that go wherever the mission does, not just where the infrastructure allows. And Klas is best known for its Voyager line: a modular family of computing and networking systems built to survive extreme temperatures, jamming, dust, and denied environments. Voyager is already deployed as part of Anduril’s Menace family of systems, supporting operations across ground, maritime, and air domains.

This deal builds on that foundation. Every autonomous system is only as capable as the computing and communications it carries. Together, they form the nervous system that enables real-time decision-making, coordination, and mission execution.

By combining Anduril’s Lattice software platform, autonomy, and sensor capabilities with Klas’ compute and networking infrastructure, the companies can deliver lightweight, mission-tailored systems that are faster to deploy, easier to maintain, and more resilient under pressure. And Anduril can now adapt edge compute and comms to the specific needs of each mission, platform, or unit, reducing integration risk and getting critical tech into the hands of warfighters faster.

Going forward: Klas will continue operating from its facilities in Ireland and the U.S., with plans for expanding manufacturing to support demand across the Anduril portfolio. And the deal also establishes Anduril’s first office in Dublin, furthering the company’s international presence across Europe, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan.
