Animaj announced that it has joined the AI Futures Fund of Google, securing an investment and strategic partnership designed to accelerate the production of AI-driven children’s content for YouTube.
Under the partnership, Animaj will receive funding from Google’s AI Futures Fund, early access to Google’s most advanced generative AI models, and direct collaboration with Google teams to develop high-quality content for the company’s global YouTube audience.
Animaj described the partnership as a major milestone in its effort to build what it calls a next-generation kids’ media company centered on artificial intelligence. The company said its proprietary AI-native studio platform integrates tools such as Audience Intelligence, Sketch-to-Pose, and Motion-In-Betweening to streamline animation workflows and shorten production cycles.
Using these systems, Animaj said it can produce full animated episodes from concept to YouTube release in under five weeks, roughly four times faster than the traditional animation pipeline. The company said the tools are designed to remove production bottlenecks rather than replace artists, enabling creative teams to focus on storytelling, characters, and quality.
Animaj also said its digital-first approach centers on audience data from YouTube. The company reaches about 242 million unique monthly viewers on the platform, which it uses to identify content with franchise potential and expand it into streaming, licensing, and other entertainment formats.
The company emphasized that the partnership also reflects its focus on responsible use of artificial intelligence in children’s media, arguing that advanced technology can strengthen brand safety, IP ownership, and creative ambition while supporting human creators.
Animaj said the collaboration will help the company expand its production capabilities and explore new formats, including interactive storytelling and other digital-first entertainment experiences aimed at younger audiences.
