Antea Group USA announced the appointment of Jason Ruf as a consultant supporting the company’s Environmental Remediation practice through advanced three-dimensional visualization and analysis, conceptual site model development, environmental sequence stratigraphy, and the integration and interpretation of high-resolution site characterization data.
Ruf brings more than 27 years of experience helping clients and project teams transform complex environmental and subsurface data into actionable insights that support site characterization and remediation efforts. Throughout his career, he has focused on integrating environmental data, geologic understanding, and visualization technologies to improve decision-making and remediation outcomes.
His experience spans hundreds of projects around the world, including brownfield, industrial, manufacturing, Superfund, underground storage tank, ISRA, RCRA, Department of Energy, and municipal sites. Ruf specializes in developing conceptual site models that combine historical information, high-density subsurface data, and geologic frameworks to reduce uncertainty and support remediation strategies.
Antea Group noted that Ruf has extensive expertise in projects involving PFAS, petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and other contaminants. His work frequently incorporates Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy and high-resolution datasets to identify contaminant migration pathways and storage zones that may not be detected through conventional geologic models.
In addition to his consulting work, Ruf has authored numerous publications and delivered presentations at industry conferences, workshops, and regulatory training programs covering conceptual site models, data visualization, environmental databases, and high-resolution site characterization.
In his new role, Ruf will focus on expanding Antea Group’s 3D Visualization and Analysis capabilities and supporting the development of data-driven conceptual site models designed to improve understanding of complex subsurface conditions and streamline remediation efforts.
Founded as an environmental consulting and sustainability solutions provider, Antea Group said the addition of Ruf will further strengthen its Environmental Remediation practice and enhance its ability to translate complex environmental data into practical solutions for clients.
