AntGen is a leading National Master Agent that supports wireless dealers across the US by providing comprehensive, authorized, and strategic support for launching and operating Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Verizon Prepaid stores. Pulse 2.0 interviewed AntGen founder and CEO Arun Upadhyay to learn more.
Arun Upadhyay’s Background

Could you tell me more about your background? Upadhyay said:
“I bring a blend of corporate discipline and entrepreneurial drive. For 14 years I worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, managing complex technology systems and leading large-scale integration projects for the firm’s wealth-management platforms. That experience taught me how to lead global teams, think strategically, and execute at scale.”
“By 2008 I was ready to apply those skills to entrepreneurship. I entered the prepaid wireless industry and founded NexGen Communications Inc., a Master Agent distributing TracFone Wireless brands to independent dealers. Under my leadership NexGen grew rapidly, earned spots on the Inc. 5000 list in 2015 and 2016, and supported more than 1,000 dealers with the training and guidance needed to build and scale their businesses.”
“Since then I’ve launched some additional companies including: LionOBytes (2015), a SaaS platform offering CRM, ERP, and FSM solutions; AntGen (2023), a Total Wireless Master Agent; and Wirelo (2024), a B2B marketplace connecting wireless retailers and vendors. Together, these ventures reflect over 15 years of experience and a commitment to strengthening the prepaid wireless ecosystem.”
Formation Of The Company

How did the idea for the company come together? Upadhyay shared:
“I want to take Wirelo as an example. Having worked in the prepaid wireless industry for over 15 years, I’ve interacted with many dealers and vendors and gained a deep understanding of their needs. I noticed a gap in the market—a lack of a trusted, centralized marketplace where retailers and vendors could confidently connect, buy, and sell products and services. Wirelo was created to fill that gap, providing a streamlined platform that enables collaboration, builds trust, and helps businesses grow efficiently.”
Favorite Memory
What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Upadhyay reflected:
“Over the years as an entrepreneur, I’ve met many people building their own businesses and seen the common challenges they face. I realized I wanted to add real value to the industry by simplifying these processes. What makes me happiest is seeing the technology we’ve built actually helping people, for example when our CRM enabled a dealer to streamline operations across multiple stores. Watching our tools empower clients, employees, and partners has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.”
Core Products
What are the company’s core products and features? Upadhyay explained:
“AntGen is a Master Agent offering Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Verizon Prepaid services, helping aspiring and existing wireless dealers open and grow their stores with full support every step of the way.”
“LionOBytes is a SaaS platform providing CRM, ERP, and FSM solutions, with key features including lead management, inventory management, serial number tracking, workflow automation, AI chatbot, field team management.”
“Wirelo is a B2B marketplace connecting wireless retailers and vendors, offering a centralized platform to collaborate, streamline operations, and grow their businesses.”
Challenges Faced
Have you faced any challenges in your sector of work recently? Upadhyay acknowledged:
“One of our biggest ongoing challenges is communication—making sure information flows quickly and clearly so retailers can confidently present services to their customers.”
“To address this, we’ve taken a two-step approach:
WhatsApp Integration: We created a dedicated WhatsApp group for all AntGen dealers, field reps, and our customer-service team. Dealers can report issues or ask questions in real time, and our team can respond immediately, keeping everyone connected and informed.
Mobile App Access: We launched dealer-facing mobile apps that provide instant access to the latest promotions, training materials, and selling tips. This ensures retailers always have up-to-date information right at their fingertips.
Together, these tools have dramatically improved communication speed and accuracy, helping our dealers serve their customers more effectively.”
Evolution Of The Company’s Technology
How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Upadhyay noted:
“Our technology continues to scale with our network. AntGen, for example, uses the LionO360 CRM from LionOBytes to keep both our sales team and dealer partners connected:
— For Sales Reps: They can instantly access and update customer data via mobile, record store visits, log issues, and complete questionnaires—streamlining follow-ups and support.
— For Dealers: Sales data and monthly performance reports are captured automatically, enabling data-driven strategy and faster growth.
This end-to-end visibility allows AntGen to react quickly, identify opportunities, and help our partners grow with data-driven decisions.”
Significant Milestones
What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Upadhyay cited:
“This year has been pivotal for us. At the All Wireless Prepaid Expo (AWPE) 2025, AntGen’s booth drew exceptional traffic, and Wirelo gained strong interest from new vendors eager to join our marketplace. In August, both AntGen and LionOBytes were featured in Wireless Dealer Magazine, giving all of our companies a significant boost in brand awareness.”
“From a business perspective, AntGen opened 11 new stores in a single month and expanded into Texas, Arizona, Utah, and Kentucky. August also became our highest month ever for activations and sales, underscoring the strength and momentum of our dealer network.”
Total Addressable Market
What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Upadhyay assessed:
“Based on recent industry data, the U.S. prepaid wireless market is valued at approximately $4.3 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $5.6 billion by 2033 (~3% CAGR). Globally, the market was $556 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow to nearly $747 billion by 2030.”
“Within this expanding market, a prepaid wireless company could theoretically address $4–6 billion in the U.S. alone. As a master agent, AntGen captures a portion of that opportunity, focusing on supporting and enabling dealers rather than serving the entire market directly. This means our practical TAM is smaller, but we anticipate strong growth as we expand services, add more dealers, and enter new locations.”
Differentiation From The Competition
What differentiates the company from its competition? Upadhyay affirmed:
“AntGen stands out by blending technology, hands-on support, and long-term partnership. Our LionOBytes – LionO360 CRM gives dealers real-time access to monthly sales data and performance insights, helping them make faster, data-driven decisions. We back this with 24/7 customer service and a dedicated field team that visits stores regularly to keep operations running smoothly.”
“We also invest directly in our dealers’ growth. While we can provide financial assistance, our priority is building lasting relationships, not just offering funding. And now, with the addition of Wirelo, our dealers can source devices and accessories directly through our marketplace, eliminating the need to search for reliable third-party vendors and saving valuable time and effort.”
Future Company Goals
What are some of the company’s future goals? Upadhyay concluded:
“In the short term, AntGen is planning to open over 30 new stores by October 15th. Looking further ahead, our goal is to expand into more states and help even more people achieve their dream of owning a Total Wireless store. Ultimately, we aim to remain the #1 Total Wireless Master Agent in the U.S.”
“Additionally, to address the need for faster communication and performance tracking among dealers, we are launching a new dealer platform that will provide retailers with a single source of tool, helping them better manage and grow their Total Wireless stores.”
