Anthropic has expanded the capabilities of its Claude Cowork platform with a broad set of enterprise plugins and a dedicated suite of tools tailored for finance professionals, positioning Claude as a more deeply embedded AI collaborator inside corporate workflows.

The company said the new Cowork plugin enhancements are designed to help organizations customize Claude for specific roles and departments, including human resources, engineering, design, operations, and finance. Enterprises can now more easily build, manage, and distribute plugins internally, creating specialized AI assistants with predefined skills, commands, and secure data access aligned to particular job functions.

Administrators can control plugin access across teams and deploy private plugin libraries, enabling companies to standardize how Claude is used across business units while maintaining governance and oversight. The updates also strengthen Claude’s ability to operate across applications, allowing it to carry context between tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to complete multi-step tasks within a single workflow.

Alongside the broader enterprise rollout, Anthropic introduced five finance-focused plugins to support core workflows across financial services. These include tools for financial analysis, investment banking, equity research, private equity, and wealth management. The plugins are designed to assist with tasks such as market and competitive research, financial modeling, earnings transcript analysis, comparable company analysis, due diligence review, portfolio assessment, and preparation of client-ready materials.

Anthropic also announced integrations with major financial data providers, enabling Claude to access institutional-grade datasets directly within Cowork workflows. Connectors and partner-built plugins from leading market intelligence and index providers are intended to allow finance teams to pull in real-time data, update models, and generate reports without leaving their working environment.

By combining cross-application functionality with role-specific plugins and external data integrations, Anthropic is seeking to transform Claude from a standalone conversational assistant into a persistent AI teammate embedded within enterprise systems. The company’s latest updates underscore a broader push to make agent driven AI a core layer inside modern workplace software, particularly in data intensive fields such as finance where accuracy, speed, and context continuity are critical.
