Apella Wealth Adds PBMares Wealth Management Team, Strengthening Mid-Atlantic Footprint

Wealth management firm Apella Wealth said PBMares Wealth Management, LLC, the wealth management division of Virginia-based accounting and advisory firm PBMares LLP, has joined Apella, strengthening Apella’s footprint in the Mid-Atlantic.

Apella said the move expands its advisory talent and planning resources while allowing PBMares clients to continue working with the same team, alongside a continued strategic relationship between Apella and PBMares LLP. The transaction closed on December 31, 2025.

The firm said this is Apella’s 25th transaction overall and its 14th since partnering with Wealth Partners Capital Group, which invested in Apella in September 2021. As of closing, Apella said it is approaching $10 billion in assets under management.
