Apheon Acquires Majority Stake In Hager & Meisinger

Apheon acquired a majority stake in Hager & Meisinger Group, a global provider of premium dental instruments and workflow solutions.

Hager & Meisinger’s current shareholders and co-CEOs, Dr. Burkard Höchst and Sebastian Voss, will retain meaningful ownership stakes and remain actively involved in the company’s development.

Founded in 1888 and headquartered in Neuss, Germany, Hager & Meisinger operates through the Meisinger and Jota brands.

The company offers more than 12,000 product references across rotary instruments, bone management, implantology, and digital dentistry.

Its portfolio includes diamond and carbide products as well as procedure-specific solutions developed in collaboration with clinicians and key opinion leaders.

The group also operates the Global Bone Management & Restorative Network, which supports clinical education and knowledge sharing among dental professionals.

Hager & Meisinger has vertically integrated manufacturing operations in Germany and Switzerland and serves dental practices, oral surgeons, and laboratories in more than 100 countries.

With Apheon as a partner, the company plans to accelerate growth organically and through selective acquisitions.

Expansion in the U.S. will be a particular priority, along with strengthening international commercial reach and distributor relationships.

The company also plans to continue investing in its rotary instruments portfolio while expanding its bone management and implantology businesses.

Apheon will support the strategy through its pan-European network and buy-and-build capabilities.
