Appian has officially announced the appointment of David Crozier to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective July 21, 2025. In this pivotal position, Crozier will report directly to Appian’s Chief Executive Officer, Matt Calkins, marking a new era for the company’s marketing strategy.
With over two decades of extensive marketing experience, Crozier is poised to make a significant impact at Appian. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE). During his tenure there, he spearheaded global marketing initiatives first for HPE Services and later for HPE GreenLake, which is recognized as the company’s flagship portfolio for cloud and AI solutions. Crozier’s expertise in enterprise software and AI is complemented by his remarkable ability to scale marketing operations globally, effectively driving both growth and market influence.
Before his stint at HPE, Crozier held various marketing leadership roles at IBM. His work there spanned diverse sectors, including enterprise software, financial services, and industry solutions, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the market landscape. Crozier is well-prepared to leverage this extensive experience in his new role at Appian.
Academically, David Crozier holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Stirling, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School. His educational background, combined with his professional accomplishments, makes him a formidable addition to the Appian team.
