Today Apple sent out invitations to the media for a major event taking place on September 12th at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. The tagline of the media invite says “Gather round.” Some of the new products that are expected to be announced at the event include three new flagship iPhones along with a new Apple Watch. But there is a chance that other Apple products could also be announced at the event.
Rumored 2018 iPhone Options
One of the iPhones will likely have a 5.8-inch OLED, which will be the successor to the iPhone X and have a price tag of $899. A 6.5-inch OLED Plus-sized option is also expected to be announced at a price of $999. And a lower-cost 6.1-inch LCD version with multiple colors may be more appealing for consumers on a budget. The gold colors in the invitation seem to hint that the iPhones may be available in that color this year.
Apple Watch Series 4 Rumor
Another rumor for this year is an Apple Watch Series 4. The Apple Watch Series 4 is expected to have a larger screen size, improved heart rate detection, and solid state buttons.
iPad Pro Rumor
There is a chance that Apple will introduce new iPad Pros with Face ID at the event. But the notch may not be added to the iPad Pro. Some of the rumored sizes of iPad Pros include an 11-inch version and a 12.9-inch.
New Macs
A number of additional Macs are also expected to be announced at the event. This could include a new MacBook Air with Retina display, a new Mac mini with sophisticated internal components, a new generation of the 12-inch MacBook, and a new generation iMac.
Additional Products
Apple may provide an update about the AirPower wireless charging mat and potentially introduce a wireless charging case for the AirPods. At the event, Apple is also expected to announce the public release of iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12.
