AppsAnywhere, a higher education technology platform focused on centralized software delivery, announced that it has merged with LabStats to form a unified organization aimed at delivering a holistic view of the end-user IT experience in higher education. As part of the transaction, Peter Cooke has been appointed President of the combined company and will lead strategic alignment, product convergence and global growth initiatives.
The newly combined organization is designed to help higher education institutions address rising expectations for seamless digital experiences and equitable access to technology, while managing budget constraints and smaller IT teams. By integrating actionable technology insights with scalable application delivery, the company aims to enable institutions to better align IT investments with actual student demand.
Together, AppsAnywhere and LabStats support more than 1,000 institutions across over 22 countries. The unified platform provides visibility across computer labs, hardware performance, software usage and application delivery in both on-campus and hybrid environments.
LabStats delivers detailed insights into lab utilization, device availability and on-campus software usage, helping IT teams right-size infrastructure, identify underused assets and make evidence-based investment decisions. AppsAnywhere provides centralized, scalable access to applications on any device, allowing institutions to simplify IT management while improving access and flexibility for students and faculty. The combined company says it is the first to offer comprehensive solutions spanning both hardware and software insight and delivery, enabling institutions to align IT investment directly with real-world demand.
Cooke previously served as Chief Operating Officer at AppsAnywhere, where he spent the past decade helping expand the company’s global footprint and deepen its presence across higher education. He will now lead the unified organization’s focus on data-driven innovation, resource optimization and equitable access to technology worldwide.
