Apptronik: $935+ Million Series A Raised For AI-Based Robotics

By Amit Chowdhry • Feb 15, 2026

Apptronik, an AI-powered robotics company, announced it has closed a $520 million Series A-X extension round, bringing its total Series A funding to more than $935 million and total capital raised to nearly $1 billion. The latest round includes participation from existing investors such as B Capital, Google, Mercedes-Benz, and PEAK6, as well as new investors AT&T Ventures, John Deere, and Qatar Investment Authority.

The Series A-X extension follows a $415 million oversubscribed initial Series A round in 2025. After announcing the initial raise, the company reported significant inbound investor interest, prompting it to open an extension at a 3x multiple of its original Series A valuation, reflecting continued confidence in its vision for AI-powered humanoid robots designed to work alongside people.

With the new capital, Apptronik plans to scale production of its humanoid robot, Apollo, and expand its global footprint across commercial and pilot deployments. The funding will help accelerate time-to-market, support new use cases across retail, manufacturing, and logistics customers, and fund the development of advanced facilities for robot training and data collection. The company also plans to continue advancing its human-centered design approach and debut a new robot in 2026.

Apollo is designed to transform human-robot collaboration, beginning with critical industries such as manufacturing and logistics. The robot is designed to handle physically demanding, labor-intensive operational processes, including transporting components, sorting, and kitting, while working alongside human teams. Future applications are planned for retail, healthcare, and eventually in-home environments.

Apptronik has formed partnerships with major global brands, including Mercedes-Benz, GXO Logistics, and Jabil. The company also maintains a strategic partnership with Google DeepMind to develop next-generation humanoid robots powered by Gemini Robotics.

Founded out of the Human Centered Robotics Lab at the University of Texas at Austin, Apptronik has developed 15 previous robots, including NASA’s Valkyrie robot. The company now employs nearly 300 people and continues to position itself at the forefront of embodied AI and humanoid robotics innovation.
