Aptus Aero announced that it has acquired E.M.C. Aerospace, a provider of component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the aviation industry.
Aptus Aero is a portfolio company of The Stephens Group. The acquisition marks Aptus Aero’s second transaction, following its acquisition of Atlas Aerospace Accessories earlier this year.
Based in North Miami Beach, Florida, EMC is an open class rated Part 145 repair station. The company services power generation, pneumatic, hydraulic, fuel, and other aircraft components.
EMC serves passenger, cargo, and military customers globally, with capabilities supporting all major aircraft platforms.
Aptus Aero said EMC’s repair and parts sourcing capabilities will strengthen its platform as it continues building a provider of highly engineered component repairs for the aviation market.
Formed in 2026 by The Stephens Group, Aptus Aero provides MRO services for the aviation industry. The company is focused on acquiring, investing in, and growing component MRO service providers.
The Stephens Group is a private investment firm with more than $2 billion of private equity assets under management. Since 2006, the firm has invested in more than 50 companies across sectors including industrial products and services, specialty distribution, and vertical software.
