Aquatech has acquired UAE-based Metito Chemical Solutions, expanding its water treatment, specialty chemicals and operations and maintenance capabilities. The acquired company will operate as Metichem, an Aquatech company. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Metichem provides specialty chemicals and operations and maintenance services to customers across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
The acquisition combines Aquatech’s global project experience with Metichem’s regional relationships and operating presence.
The combined portfolio includes water treatment technologies, chemicals, digital solutions and services intended to improve efficiency, reliability and sustainability throughout the water lifecycle.
Both companies have completed projects in markets including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.
More than 300 employees across three continents participated in an event marking the completion of the transaction.
Existing customer contracts, service agreements and points of contact will remain unchanged following the acquisition.
